WHY STRAPS SLIDE
Twenty minutes in, it is halfway down your calf.
You know the feeling. The brace has crept two inches down and you are pulling it back up in front of everyone. This is not a you problem, it is the most common complaint in the whole category. On the highest-volume knee brace listing on Amazon US, 813 buyers commented on whether it stays in place and 375 of those comments were negative. A sleeve that migrates is not supporting anything.
The dial changes the failure mode. The lace pulls the sleeve in around the whole circumference, and silicone dots on the inner face give the knit something to hold.
THE MECHANISM
One spool. Even pressure all the way round.
Inside the sleeve a thin lace runs through guides that circle the joint. The knob is a spool. Every click you wind in gets shared across the whole circumference rather than loaded onto the two points where a strap ends. Velcro loosens under repeated bending and its hook face clogs. A spool has nothing to clog.
Run the two-click test. Set your tension, walk your session, then count the clicks it takes to release. Same number you wound in means it held.
THE SIZE YOU ORDERED
Sized by a tape measure, not a guess.
The second most common complaint in this category is sizing, and it is the manufacturers' fault: the same hardware ships with at least three different size charts, including one that sizes by body weight. Ours is the one printed on the maker's own retail listing. One tape, one number, 5.5 inches above the kneecap.

WHAT THE RESEARCH ACTUALLY SAYS
A brace is a confidence and comfort tool, not a treatment
Where the evidence is strongest is confidence and joint position sense, not repair. In healthy subjects, wearing a sleeve improved active knee position tracking by 28% (Herrington 2005, Res Sports Med 13(1):37-46, PMID 16389885). Where it is weak, we say so: pooled across trials, knee braces had no statistically significant effect on pain scores (Smith 2015, Cochrane Database Syst Rev 2015(12):CD010513, PMID 26645724). These are studies of knee sleeves and braces generally, not this product. DialGuard is a comfort and stability support, not a medical device. For an injury, see a professional first. Results vary.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What size do I need?
What size do I need?
Measure around your thigh 5.5 inches (14 cm) above the top of your kneecap. M is 36 to 42 cm, L is 42 to 48 cm, XL is 48 to 54 cm, XXL is 54 to 62 cm. On a boundary, size up.
Will it slide down when I walk?
Will it slide down when I walk?
That is the specific problem the design targets. The lace cable pulls the whole sleeve in evenly and silicone dots on the inner face grip the skin. If it still migrates on you, the 30-Day Fit Promise covers a size swap or a refund.
How do I get it off?
How do I get it off?
Pull the knob outward to release the lace, then slide the sleeve down. It will not come off while the lace is still wound in, and that is deliberate.
Left knee or right knee?
Left knee or right knee?
Each brace is side specific because the dial sits on the outside of the knee. Choose Left or Right in the picker. For both knees, pick the 2-pack and choose a side for each unit.
Can I wear it all day?
Can I wear it all day?
We do not recommend it. Take it off between sessions and let the skin breathe. Skin discomfort is the most commonly reported downside of compression braces in published trials, and wearing it for sessions rather than days is the fix.
Can I machine wash it?
Can I machine wash it?
No. Hand wash only, cool water, mild soap, air dry flat. Machine washing damages the lace guides and the silicone.

DialGuard Adjustable Knee Brace Reviews
This knee brace provided instant stability for my running. The dial lock offers precise adjustments, while the side stabilizers and patella gel pad cushion every step.
Great fit, strong support, dial lock works perfectly. Highly recommend.
This knee brace feels comfortable and gives my knee solid support without feeling too bulky. The dial makes it easy to adjust the tightness, and it stays in place well when I am moving around.
Money spent well, my knee feels better and more stable now.
This really works, surprised me! Thanks for a great product!
There is rubber at the top on the inside to help stop it slipping. There is also a donut-shaped support stitched on the inside to help keep the patella in the right spot, as well as two vertical side braces to help stop the brace from rolling.
I measured my knee like they suggested. According to their measurements I ordered a large. That was too big for my comfort level. I reordered a medium. I would probably order one size smaller than they recommend.
Does not stay in place as well as I hoped, but it does help.
I went for M, it is a bit large, but all good.
